Dodge knows muscle cars. The 2021 Dodge Durango R/T Tow n Go can haul up to 8,700 lbs, the 2021 Dodge Charger SRT® Hellcat Redeye Widebody is the World’s Fastest four-door muscle car, and the 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT® Super Stock is the quickest, fastest, and most powerful muscle car ever.
And now Dodge is tackling the EV muscle car market with the Challenger eMuscle set for production in 2024. Creating the most powerful all-electric muscle car ever isn’t easy, but Dodge is up to the challenge, with plans for an electric vehicle platform said to deliver up to 500 miles of range.
Classic Challenger Good Looks and Style
Teaser images of the new Challenger eMuscle show styling that’s similar to the classic Challenger and Charger models, with an added throwback Fratzog logo found on 1960’s and 70’s Dodge vehicles. Videos of a prototype performing a four-wheel burnout also suggest the possibility of four- wheel drive.
The Challenger eMuscle will likely have the same trim offerings as its gas-powered counterpart, including R/T and Hellcat performance versions. It’s rumored that Dodge may introduce a second EV, the Charger eMuscle in two and four-door versions, around the same time as the Challenger eMuscle as well.
