What makes the Dodge Charger Hellcat models so fast is the technology under the hood. The 2021 model year Hellcats have one of two engines. The Hellcat Widebody comes with the Supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi SRT Hellcat V8 engine with 717 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Adding the Redeye to the Hellcat adds the 6.2-liter Hemi High-Output Hellcat Redeye V8 engine with 797 horsepower and 707 lb-ft of torque. These engines combine to create two of the fastest four-door sedans on the market.

If you’re looking for a Dodge Charger with fuel economy, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine offers 300 horsepower with 264 lb-ft of torque along with an EPA estimated 19/30 MPG. This engine comes standard on the SXT and GT trims.

The R/T trim comes with a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 with 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. For comparison, Ram puts this engine in several of the 1500 full-size truck trims. The Scat Pack trims come with the 392 Hemi V8 with 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque.

The Fastest Dodge Charger

The fastest Dodge Charger is the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody. This model is only available in rear-wheel drive, while several Charger trims have available all-wheel drive. It has an eight-speed automatic transmission that is tuned to help the vehicle achieve a quarter-mile time of 10.6 seconds at 129 MPH.

On the inside, this beast comes with an available carbon and suede interior package with aggressive seating and an attractive leather-wrapped instrument panel. It comes with an 8.4-inch infotainment screen with UConnect 4C with navigation, a six-speaker sound system, and a remote vehicle start.
